Never Forget...
Sometimes in life there are definitely things that you want to forget. I mean the mistakes... the dark stuff... Sometimes they are called skeletons. They like to hide in the closets of our hearts and minds.
They are like ghosts that haunt us and bring us down. Bullies that poke and push us to cower in fear. If you think too much about these things that are hard to forget you can really get messed up. You can live in fear and remorse. The things that are hard to forget NEED to be forgotten.
There are also things that should never be forgotten. Probably at the top of the list should be this...
GOD WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU.
Paul said that to the Corinthians. Then he told them to never forget it.
It doesn't matter what ghosts you have. Doesn't matter how many skeletons or closets. God loves you. He got you started in a spiritual adventure, and He shares the life of His Son with you. "He will never give up on you. Never forget that."
So may you be able to forget what needs to be forgotten and remember what needs to be remembered. May you realize that it is by God's grace that you have been saved, and that it was not earned or bought by anything you've ever done. May you embrace the life of Jesus, and may you bask in the glory of the reality that God, the very Maker of Heaven and earth, will never, ever, give up on you.
