a reluctant prophet and a great revival

If there is any area of scripture that confirms ministry is not about the man/ woman it is this account of Jonah. One hundred and twenty thousand converts. No revival in all of scripture compares. Even Pentecost records three thousand converts. Here we see forty times that and the vessel used to bring it about was a stubborn, obstinate man. One whose heart was not really about the ministry nor the people. The Word goes forth reluctantly and revival breaks out. Though a better equipped / right hearted prophet could have been used it did not hinder the work of God. Better equipped pastors/ ministers is not what our world needs. What our world needs is to be broken by the Word of God and for divine revival to break out. Our world needs people who will plead and beg for the souls of our neighbors and those who will courageously adhere to His Word. Proclaim it with love and unashamedly. Those who will get out of His way. Those who will lay down their agenda and wait for Him to work. To get involved with His plan.
Father thank you for the great peace that reminds me ministry is and always will be about You. The outcome is your burden. Forgive me for forsaking the simplicity of this truth. Heal the broken places in my life/ ministry that has walked out on You and made it somehow about me. I want to see You. I want this flock of Young people to see what You can do. So my agenda today is forfeited and I will wait upon You. Come Holy Spirit Come. Come in power and bring revival!
