Big Brother...Little Brother!!
What is it with God and younger brothers? I have read now the history of God's work in Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel) and it's ever with God the younger shall have dominion over the older. I think quickly thousands of years ahead to the story of the prodigal...and it's the older bro who's got some problems of his own and there's the love of God for the younger prodigal son that is so wonderful. But what are we to learn outside of God's sovereignty over all things and this is no small matter. Perhaps that God does choose the lowly and despised things and things that are not to bring to nothing the things that are? God is no respecter of person's and no flesh will ever glory in His presence. Is there any lesson for the older brother? Maybe to become a servant is great in the eyes of God, especially when He puts us in the place of the servant? Great stuff no doubt and divine...but there are mysteries here for sure. I look forward to more light being shed on this in the years to come! O Praise the King who's glory it is to conceal a matter!
