Rise Up

In college the phone in my room did not work for 2 weeks. It wasn't a big deal to me but the guy who came to fix it (an employee of the school, a believer, and a veteran from Vietnam) said today's Christians are too soft. He said that we let people walk all over us. I didn't really use the phone that much, nor did my roommate, so it wasn't a big deal to us, but to the repair man, there are things we need to fight for as Christians that we don't.

Moses prayed every time the Ark was on the move that the enemies of God would scatter. Today, you and I are, in a fashion, the Ark. We are the place God's power, by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, flows from. We are the place were His Word is to be kept. We represent God in the world today.

As you go about today, May the Lord Rise up, in you. May your enemies be scattered. May those who hate you flee before you.

Let me modify what the phone repairman said; don't let anyone walk on you because of your faith...after all, you got God!
