so they made vows

i find it interesting that the mariners (who earlier in this story were crying out to their 'gods') saw the power of the One True God and made sacrifices and vows. i wonder what those vows were. i imagine them to be something like, "You are the True God! i have seen Your power! i will never call out to any other god but You!"

jonah was running away from God and the mariners were running to Him.
