God's love is amazing in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). When we sin, God hates it because He is righteous therefore can only love righteousness (Psalm 11:7; 5:4-5; 45:7). However, He loves us so much that He will forgive us and redeem us from sin, if only we will come back to Him (Hosea 14:1-2, 4).
When we recognize God's mercy and grace and love in our lives, we will be less inclined to return to our life of sin, but rather will accept a new life in God (Hosea 14:4-8; 2Corinthians 5:17-18).
No one -- absolutely no one -- can fully understand the extent of God's love (Hosea 14:9). That's why I am glad that we will get to live for eternity because then we will have all the time in the world to learn about God's magnificent love.
