Donnie McClurkin sang the chorus of a song when he accepted an award for Gospel Artist of the year or something like that. I don't remember what the award was, but I remember the manner in which he accepted it.

He simply sang, as only Donnie McClurkin can:
"Only what you do for Christ will last
Only what you do for Christ will last
Only what you do for Him will be counted at the end
Only what you do for Christ will last"

It is kind of neat to me that I don't remember the award he received, but I remembered the praise he gave to God. That's an object lesson, if I've ever seen one. Truly, only what we do for Christ will last.

Here's a good Rule of Thumb: Focus your life on things that will matter 100 years from now.
