Small But Significant
Too many times the world's view of success and the Bible's view of succes are two different things. We tend to celebrate churches that run large numbers and dismiss those that do not. This Scripture reminds us that success is one person coming to Christ...not a church full of people that already know Him...and are doing very little with that knowledge. There are many healthy large churches that have grown because of reaching one person for Christ...then another...and then another. By the same token there are many small churches that started because they didn't want to reach people for Christ...they just wanted to sit in their little circle and "go deeper". Ultimately Biblical success is not about the amount of people...but the amount of people that come to Christ. If you've ever been involved with leading a church...and one person came to know Christ because of it...in God's eyes...the church was successful. If you are a follower of Christ...and you've ever led someone to Him...in God's eyes...you've been successful.
