Imperishable

While reading in 1 Peter 1 this morning these things stood out to me:

v. 3 - Living hope - Our living hope is tied together with the living Jesus.
v. 4 - Imperishable inheritance - The inheritance of the saved is kept in heaven. It will not be destroyed by moth or rust, but will remain forever.
v. 7 - Imperishable faith - Gold is perishable even though it is refined by fire. Our faith is of greater value than gold. When the fires test our faith, we find out if it is genuine. If it is not genuine, then it perishes. If it is genuine faith, not even the fires of testing can cause it to perish.
v. 18 - Imperishable blood of Jesus - The perishable things of this life (gold and silver) did not save us, but the imperishable, everlasting, perfect blood of Jesus.
v. 23 - Imperishable seed - Man's seed is perishable; it does not always bring forth new life. God's seed is imperishable, always bringing forth new life.
v. 23, 25 - Living word of God - This is the good news message that had been preached to these disciples who were living in exile.
