Pray Early And Often

Pray Early And Often

Rejoice evermore; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

As the old saying goes, if it's big enough to worry about, it's big enough to pray about. Yet sometimes, we don't pray about the specific details of our lives. Instead, we may offer general prayers that are decidedly heavy on platitudes and decidedly light on particulars. The next time you pray, try this: be very specific about the things you ask God to do.

Of course God already knows precisely what you need-he knows infinitely more about your life than you do-but you need the experience of talking to your Creator in honest, unambiguous (clear or precise) language. So today, don't be vague with God. Tell Him exactly what you need. he doesn't need to hear the details, but you do.
