"Glory" shrouded in humility
John 1:14-18, As I read through those comments John records about Jesus, "...His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father.", "...preferred before me,", "but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.", "The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father."- I'm reminded of the way He came HUMBLY. The "glory" He came with was shrouded in what Isaiah says about Him in 53:2 as "no form or comeliness" and that "There is no beauty that we should desire Him". His "glory" was not presented the way we would look to show off ourselves if we had some sort of glory. He came so different than the way we would expect for the "only begotten of the Father" to come!! ...You, Jesus, came as a man. You dealt with the struggles of men. You weren't even a "good-looking guy". -But, You loved to the fullest!! I praise You, Jesus!! You are so different than I! Make me like Yourself! Help me to come with humility, in Fullness of love!... Sacraficial... Preferring others before myself! And may people be drawn to You who pours forth that True Love!!
