Sometimes I think we can be unfair to Adam and Eve. We tend to look down on them. It is true that Adam’s sin brought death into the world. But I would not be any better. To be honest I don’t even think ‘the serpent’ would need to make an appearance. God would have been like “And Roger you may eat of any tree except for that one… Hey stop that” Ok, so we really don’t know how we would act in their situation. But I’m guessing it would not be to different.
I would also like to say that the devil is a liar. He knew that God did not say “You shall not eat of any tree in the garden”. He went to our first parents and brought sin to us. Sin that we embraced.
