Take it or Leave it
When God makes an offer, we accept it or we don't. There are no take-backs. No mulligans. No do-overs.
It may not seem fair to us, but we are not God. He told the Israelites to go into the land and He would give it to them, regardless of it's inhabitants. The Israelites got scared when they saw the inhabitants. I would guess, they forgot how powerful God was. But that was it, the deal was done. God rescinded the promise...at least for the current generation.
God has made a promise to us, we must remember it, or the results are worse. If we accept the gift that is Christ, we are promised eternity. Without submitting to Christ, not just as Savior but Lord as well, we receive eternity in Hell.
Just like His promise to the Israelites had a "limited time offer" so does His promise to us. Once Christ returns, it is too late.
