Spiritual Hebrews

"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise." Gal 3:29

Interesting that once Abram (who was an Iraqi) crossed over the Jordan, the Lord called him Abraham and he became a Hebrew. I believe Hebrew means to cross over. So when we, as Abraham, "believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness," we cross over from darkness to light, from children of the devil to children of God, ("that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." 1 Pet2:9) and are born again. We have crossed over becoming spiritual Hebrews, so to speak; because we have put our trust in the Source of Truth as Abraham did, thereby birthing us into the lineage of what God promised to Abraham.
