The Anointing, Jesus the Anointed One and Fatness

In this passage in the KJV it talks of the Anointing destroying the yoke. In other versions it mentions the yoke is broken because of Fatness. In looking at both of these I found that the anointing is used in the bible in one of three different ways for ordinary, sacred or medical uses. This passage speaks of the sacred anointing that will destroy the yoke. Sacred Anointing as described in the Southwestern Pictorial Bible Dictionary ~ “Sacred anointing had as its purpose of dedicating things or persons to God.” So to be anointed by God means you have been dedicated to God for a particular work or service to God through the yoke destroyer Jesus “The Anointed One”.

In the other versions I saw that fatness was a cause of the yoke being broken. NIV states “The yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.” When an ox has eaten and begins to grow fat the yoke will no longer fit around their neck so they will not be able to be bound any longer by the yoke. In Jesus we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and God is the one who Breaks our yoke of slavery (Isa 14:25) no more will we have to be bound by the heavy loads of any enemy (addiction, lying, slander, gossip, pornography, fornication, bitterness, anger etc…)

Apart from Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5). I see that He is the reason we grow fat and bear fruit because of our truly believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus Christ from the Dead as an example of our utter and complete victory over sin, death, hell and the grave and by confessing with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord we are saved from the yoke of sin that leads to eternal death (Eternal Death Defined: Eternal separation from the presence of God).

Since you have been anointed (Dedicated to God) and sanctified (set apart for the work of God) continue to grow fat in the spirit as you meditate on by day and night, abide in or live in as evidenced by your thoughts words and lifestyle, the truth of God’s word by doing this all that you set your hands to do will prosper (Ps 1:2-3)

The name Messiah or Christ represents “The Anointed One” and he not just breaks but destroys the yoke of bondage meaning it is of no longer use it has been destroyed put a sign on it that says "Out of Service" in your life. Jesus replaces that yoke of bondage with the truth that sets you free to live life more abundantly (John 10:10b) bearing much fruit that remains (John 15:16) living your life dedicated to God free and set apart for the specific work chosen for you to do since you were in your mothers womb (Jer 1:5) in God’s Eternal Kingdom.
