When God Speaks Through Unbelievers
A passage written about King Josiah 2 Kings 23:25 "And before him there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; nor did any like him arise after him."
This was a true man after Gods own heart he tore down the false worship and rebuilt true worship to God as the King of Judah. But the lesson I learn from this one time here in verses (21-23) when he did not listen to the voice of the Lord being spoken through a pagan King Neco of Egypt. If you don't want to receive it from the unbeliever then consult with God to see if He really did speak with this person and acknowledge God before you go to battle. By doing this it may protect us from the enemy’s archers and also from standing in the way of the purpose of God which will surely progress and succeed. Standing in the way of the purpose of God is like going to battle against God himself. My heart breaks for King Josiah because he is truly one of my heroes of the faith I loved the way he was devoted to God and moved Judah to that same devotion.
But I take this as a warning I need to ALWAYS and I do mean ALWAYS "Acknowledge God in ALL My Ways so He can direct my paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6) by doing this we will hear his instructions for our lives and will not end up cutting our lives off early by fighting against his purpose because that is a losing battle."
