Paul (in Romans 2:11) blatantly states that God does not show favoritism. James (in James 2:1-10) explains how we should not show favoritism and references a key law that is violated by showing favoritism -- "love your neighbor as yourself" (Lev 19:18). In addition, Jesus referenced this same law when he stated what the 2 most important laws are (Matt 22:39).
