Do as I do...
Jesus set the example! He was showing the disciples the true and right way of leading that he wanted them, and us, to follow. If the leader and Lord of ALL can humble himself to wash the dirt and filth from the feet of the disciples, then none of us are 'too good' or too righteous to escape doing the same. It's all about serving! Our Saviour and King humbled himself and served, loved and gave his life...what do we do in return?
How are we following his example today? Are we truly doing as he did? This is not just about washing people's feet. It's about laying aside our pride, our insecurities, our motives and desires...everything, to serve and love each other - within the church as well as those who are in the world!
