His purpose reavel mine
37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” John 18:37 TNIV
What an intense conversation as Jesus is responding to Pilate as he makes the statement that Jesus is a King. Jesus is our King but what was most important in that moment was the fact that Jesus knew His purpose for being born and that was simply to testify to the truth that God loves this broken world. The truth He proclaimed was that outside of His sacrifice we could do nothing to be right on our own. This was the truth that Jesus was born for.
I was also born to testify to truth. The day I realized why Jesus had come to this world gave me clarity as to why I came to this world. The truth that Jesus proclaimed gave truth and meaning to my life and revealed my purpose. I can longer live and or view life the same way. I have to go out and do the same and that’s to proclaim truth and life.
God thank you for revealing to me why Jesus came to this earth and lived in this life because the day I realized this was the day I realized why I was born. You want me to go out and do the same in a world that desperately needs You.
