Interesting here how God is more concerned with the heart of the slave than with the issue of slavery. It seems that culturally we will always experience injustice in one form or another (even the kind that's excruciating, and challenges our very existence as humans). But always we're God's children, and he's challenged us to see beyond the obvious to the mystery that God has a purpose even when the culture does not.
