Revolutionize Your Sin
Often we are afraid and act reluctant to accept the freedom that has been ‘freely’ given to us. The reason is because freedom from sin creates a “black whole” in our understanding. This is simply because we have been motivated by avoiding sin – that to say sin has no power over us can get confusing, when you have been taught to avoid sin at all costs. Because of these teachings we feel that if we are to declare that sin has no power (which the bible clearly states) then we loose the means to stay away from it. This is a false understanding. *As I was writing this the Lord spoke to me: ROM 6:7. Romans chapter 6 verse 7 says: for when we died with Christ we were set free from sin. If you run from someone who frightens you it gives that person power. This is the same with the sinful nature. I’m not saying to accept sin! NO! Do you realize that running from sin gives sin just as much power as accepting it?? So stop running and stand for freedom. Stand for the work of the blessed cross!. It’s as if we are hiding in the shadows form the lifeless canvas that WE painted. WE are the ones to blame for sin having any power at all. So stand up and claim your inheritance with boldness – by reaching out to friends, family, and neighbors. Just as it says in Galatians 5 – you have been called to live in freedom but don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead use your freedom to serve one another in LOVE.
