Path or field?
I am convicted by this verse because of my tendency to be so busy. If I am on the "path" I am traveling somewhere, on a mission, making "progress." But, If I am on the path then I can't be in the field, serving my Lord and working in His Kingdom. The "field" is where Jesus says the Word of God is able to be consumed, accepted, and truly productive in the lives and spirits of His children.
So the question I ask myself and I extend to you is, "Where and how are you serving your Lord, Jesus?" Because without service in the Kingdom, His Word is stifled in our hearts.
