Questions: Genesis 1:26
NIV:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.27 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
I read NIV and compared it to KJV.
There could be four possibilities here.
1) Human error (but for all these years?)
2) 'US' is God and his posse (angels)
3) 'US' is God, the father, and HIS 2 other divine selves (Son & Holy Spirit) or
4) I'm looking too into this.
So since God is speaking in plural raised my eyebrow, verse 27 even raised the other one and even higher. Verse 27 says that God made humans in 'HIS' image... why isn't it 'their' if God referred to himself as 'US?' I get that God is a trinity and is also one entity, but what's with the wording here?
*sigh*
