I love God's sense of humor here! There they are, Noah's descendants-all in one place and NOT doing what God asked which was to “Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it” (Gen. 1:28).

Instead, they were all in the same place, doing their own thing ..and a prideful thing it was! So, in order to get them back on HIS track, God confused their language. Not a harmful or hurtful thing, but one which led them back to the road that was His good will.
