Expect more

I often just pray for things which are realistic and what I think God can do. When I read my Bible, I think "well I know these verses, God will do this and that now."
When I go to church, I think I know God quite well already, his attributes and personality.

In Jeremiah 33:3 God teaches us, that when we pray, he will tell us great and unsearchable things - things we do not know.
Think about that for a second. When you go on your knees and pray, do you really expect something new, something you don't know already?

I think we don't grow as much as we should, because we are fine with our status quo and we don't expect that God can open up new doors, give us new ministries, draw us even closer to Him ...

God is almighty and you can't fathom him - do you think about that when you pray? I can discover so many new things - about Him, about life, about Christians - if I just want to and go ahead and ask him :)
