prophecy and directions
20 Peter continued, “This was written in the book of Psalms, where it says, ‘Let his home become desolate, with no one living in it.’ It also says, ‘Let someone else take his position. Acts 1:20 NLT
Peter was addressing the apostles about the fulfillment of prophecy and the role Judas played in the death of Jesus. He then quotes from scripture what was predicted and then goes in to say that it instructed then to have someone take his place.
This scripture clearly teaches us that not only do we have evidence that prophecy was fulfilled to strengthen our faith but that we must go to scripture for all our decisions. In the church world or in our world we must seek God’s Word to instruct our lives and give us direction always.
God thank you that you have then answers that I need in Your Word to help me make the best decisions that will bring you glory and help me live a life pleasing unto You!
