Walking in the Dark
"The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going."
I think this is one of the enemy's most decieving tricks...he attempts to blind us to the fact that living in sin leads only to one place...DEATH.
But he tries as hard as he can to keep that truth from us. He wants us to get wrapped up in this world. To see the lights and the music and the "fun" and to be blinded by the fact that we're actually heading toward death.
If he can keep our minds on the 'here and now'; if he can keep us preoccupied with seeking immediate pleasures of the flesh, then he can continue to feed us the lie that THIS is what it's all about. When all-the-while we're being lied to and marched to our execution.
It's like the movie "The Island"...if the enemy can keep us ignorant of the truth long enough, then eventually, when we pass on, he can take captive our souls.
The sad part is, that without anyone to show the lost that they're in the dark, they don't even realize it.
