Losing the Faith

WRITTEN FOR MY WEEKLY WORD MINISTRY ON www.DBrandonCampbell.com. To join, newvministries@gmail.com

It' so easy these days to just throw in the towel. I mean between what's happening in the world, to what's happening in your own life, sometimes you feel like just throwing up your hands and saying, "Forget it!"

Every person that you look up to in ministry, if they have any substance, has gone through the exact same thing. Trust me. The pastors with the biggest churches and the most mega of ministries are the ones that have had to deal with the biggest problems. Some are still dealing with the feeling of giving up.

Running this Christian race IS HARD! It never really gets easier. You constantly have to deal with new struggles and new challenges. But the thing that happens is, YOU get stronger! I know it may not seem like it, but trust me when I tell you that you get stronger, the more mess you have to deal with.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that he will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what you are able. In other words, what you're dealing with, according to the word, you're strong enough to deal with it. I know it seems hard and you're so tired you can just scream! But if you're dealing with it then God has equipped you to do so. You should rejoice in the fact that God knows you're so strong that you can deal with the issues you're faced with.

That's another thing you must learn as a Christian, that in ALL things give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18) . Not FOR all things. Don't go thanking God for cancer! But even in the midst of your trials and tribulation, learn to give thanks. It's just like when you were a kid, you were probably as poor as a slave but when mama gave you something, you said thank you. It's the same principle here, you may not have everything that you desire, but give thanks anyway.

Somebody said giving thanks makes room for more. Well if you're in lack, I'd start thanking God for what you don't lack! Make room for other blessings to be poured into your life.

Here's the funny thing about faith; you don't really need much. You don't need a bucket-full, or a truckload of it. All you need according to Matthew 17:20 is faith the size of GRAIN of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain!

I love the correlation I'm about to make. If the focus scripture (Hebrews11:6) this week tells us that it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God without faith, and Matthew 17:20 tells us that all you need is a mustard seed, then that means IT DON'T TAKE MUCH TO PLEASE GOD!

So that means that if God isn't pleased with you, you ain't doing much! You can't be, because it don't take much to please him! If a mustard seed can please God AND move mountains in your life then why are you still looking for the "strength to climb?"

Losing faith is easy to do, but keeping the faith is hard. But you keep the faith (throw some trust and works in there)it pleases God. You move mountains. You persevere. You lose the faith......and well you gain nothing but sorrow.

Losing the faith can cause you to lose your mind. But let this mind be in you which is in Christ Jesus
(Philippians 2:5).

So don't lose your faith, lose your doubt and your faith will increase. Your faith increases, then will your blessings. Because when God is pleased he blesses!

So BE BLESSED!!!!!
