Get In Line With God's Design!

In school you used to have to walk through the hallways in a straight line. Some of us had the little square tiles on the floor and many times you had to stand in that little square; boys in one line, and girls in another. But then you got to high school. You didn’t even know how to act! Chil’ you didn’t have no lines to stand in and all of a sudden you got this feeling of freedom! You can walk as slow or as fast as you want to. You can go this direction, or you can go that direction. Besides a few hall monitors, maybe a disciplinarian or 2, no one was telling you what to do.
Funny enough though, this is when you started to cut class. You had the freedom to make those kinds of choices and sometimes, you cut! If you went to a high school like I did, where there were 5000 other people, you can blend in very easily and sneak out. Especially since my high school had off campus lunch!
Why am I talking about lines and high school? Many of you are acting, with your lives, the same way you did in high school. You’ve gotten the freedom to do with your life what you will and you’ve gotten out of line. You’ve cut (some corners) and escaped some responsibilities just like you did in high school. With that freedom came great responsibility (remember to whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48).
God created a design for you before you even knew who you were. He has a will for your life that he’d like you to follow. But just like when you went to high school you had freedom, God in his infinite wisdom gave you freedom as well. We call that freedom, freewill. He gave you the freewill to operate your life the way you want to. But with freewill there came consequences.
You can choose to go your own way and do your own thing but there is a consequence for every action that you do.
God has a design or a plan for you and your life. This design is called his will for your life. He gave you freewill to choose to walk in his will or not. See, his will for your life is how he designed and desired your life to be. But your freewill can choose to go with that will or go against it.
For far too long you have been going against God’s design for your life. Oh yes I know it without even knowing your name! We all do it. It all started with Adam and Eve and it will continue until the end of time. Its human nature to act outside of God’s will. We have a sinful inclination. The word says to us that we were born in sin Psalm 51:5. But as a BORN AGAIN (that’s why you need to be born again because the old man has to die in order for the new man to live) Christian, it is your duty to go after the will of God for your life.
I mean who washes clothes against the designer’s specifications? Who operates a motor vehicle in a way that is contrary to the manufacturers directives? Then why do you live your life contrary to the designer’s (God) specifications for you? Why do you choose to live outside the comfort of his will? There’s a song that says, “The safest place in the whole wide world is in the will of God.” Amen it is.
It’s time for you to get back to the designer’s original design. It’s time that you go back and get in the will. You can’t keep living the way you want to live but wanting the blessings that God has. You want HIS blessings; you’ve got to live HIS way!
You wonder why your life is in shambles? Are you in the TRUE will of God? You wonder why you’re going through and you’re unhappy? Are you in the will? Being in his will isn’t just about not sinning, it’s about living the life the way God intended. Donald Lawrence said it best, “Let’s get back to Eden and live on top of the world.” Maybe that’s your issue; you’ve been living IN the world and being OF the world instead of living on top of it! PREACH CAMPBELL!!!!!
So today as you’re reading, I command you with the power of God vested in me that you begin to get in line with God’s design! Baby you ain’t no cheap knock off! You’re the “real McCoy” and you’ve got to start living like it! Stop living beneath what God has for you!
I had a friend who WAS of another religion other than Christianity. Her mom told her (her mom also of the “religion”) that (their version of) God didn’t want her to live an overachieving and too happy of a life. She said to her that God didn’t want her “doing all that stuff (speaking on the goals that my friend wanted to accomplish).” Many of you may be Christian but have had some similar foolishness spoken over your life. Maybe they didn’t say to you that God didn’t want you to be too successful. But maybe they said foolish things like, “you’ll never be nothing.” Maybe your mom told you, “You gon’ be just like yo’ daddy!” Maybe you just have a bunch of haters around you telling you that you can’t do this and you can’t do that……
Well I come to come against every foolish word that was spoken over your life! You have the power inside of you to make your life work, and work well! The scripture above disproves what momma told her daughter. The scripture in Jeremiah says, I know that thoughts that I have towards you; thoughts of peace and to give you and expected end! In other words, “ I got this! I know how I want your life to work out!”
So I cancel the curse! I come against the words spoken over you that made you want to live a mediocre life and be scared to move ahead. You’ve got the Armani of life designing your destiny! Now are you going to wear it proud or are you going to go for the knock off (life)?
