Different Color Converse

I bought my first pair of Converse, 7 years ago. They were black low tops, and I got them because my Uncle was in a band. I thought it would be cool if I looked like the ones that were cool. Little did I know that I would fall in love with the Converse brand.
After I wore a hole in my black ones, I then bought a gray pair which I gave to a kid in Nicaragua, when I was on a mission trip there. My newest pair, are an off white color, cream maybe? All of my pairs of Converse shoes have been low tops, but they have all been different colors.
What is your favorite color of Converse?
Have you found that the more you are open to people, or engaging with others in a social context, the more they want to converse with you? This truth is becoming more and more evident as my days on this earth progress.
But what is it that you and I do, that prompts someone to start a conversation with us? I mean these “someones” are people that we know but haven’t spoken to in a while, or just pure strangers. I believe that before we can ask that question and answer it, we need to ask this one.
How am I living my life?
More and more, I am finding that the choices that I am making on how to live my life, are prompting those different color conversations. It all stems from this one verse in scripture.
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect… – 1 Peter 3:15
Fair warning wouldn’t you say? If you are choosing to live your lives set apart, be prepared. Because you are going to have a lot of conversations with a bunch of different colored converse.
