Here we see that Solomon was a part of the lineage of Jesus. He was the son of David and Bathsheba. Even though God was not honored in the way that David and Bathsheba came together, God, through His grace and forgiveness, continued to work in and through their lives and included them in the family tree of the Savior.

Lesson learned? Repent of your sin and once forgiven, do not wallow in it. When you are forgiven, you are forgiven. Move on toward the greatness that God desires to work in and through you.
