Jesus is not an attack dog. You can't sic Him on people.

Don't come to Jesus asking Him to tell someone else what they should do. If you do, Jesus will treat you just like this man. Jesus warns the man about greed and then goes on a long series of teaching about greed and money. The man wanted a sermon aimed at his brother, but got hit with one for himself.

Whatever you want God to change about someone else, reveals something that God needs to change in you.

We should come to Jesus to be taught, not to see others "taught a lesson."

Are you dragging people to Jesus, and telling Jesus to change their politics? Their wardrobe? Their drinking habits? Are you asking Jesus to make people palatable to your own tastes?

We should be bringing people to Jesus and bringing them to church. But not with our own agenda in mind. Jesus WILL teach people and change people when they come to Him. But it is not our job to set the timetable, the course schedule, or the curriculum. Just introduce them to the professor.
