a selfish or selfless seed
What is the fruit that Jesus is receding to. He refers to judging people by their fruit... So it can be their works. The fruit of repentance - a change in our pattern of life. Urge inner fruits of the Spirit. Profundity - our lives used to change others. Later Jesus says it is the person who does His will. Someone accomplishing Gods work, Gods way. At the core these two seeds take a different course of life. One remains to fulfill it's self while the other exists to give to others. You can not bear fruit if you are living for yourself. The fruitful seed ha died to the "deceitfulness of riches/ cares of this life". Their life is about bringing nourishment and life to others.
Father expose the thorns and weeds with in my own life. Those areas of my life that I have taken back to myself. Lead me back to the vine and let me soak in Your goodness, the Glory of the life giver. Let me see the beauty of how freely You gave. May I give in that way. I want to be completely Yours. Unearth the dry places and cause greater growth in me. Not for growths sake but for You and those that so desperately need you
