Waiting for God's answer...
The people asked Jeremiah to pray to God what they should do now. Jeremiah is promising them that he will pray to God and forward everything He said.
Now there is this tiny little detail. "Ten days later the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah."
Why did it take ten days for God to answer Jeremiah? I have no idea! All we know is that Jeremiah had an intimate relationship with God, he wept a lot and shared many sorrows with Him. He certainly knew God through and through.
When even experienced believers like him, who were a thousand times closer to God than I am, need to wait 10 days for an answer, I should not question God and my faith when my prayer remains unanswered for a couple of days.
Be patient. Nothing goes super-fast, that's one of the key lessons I learnt studying the book of Jeremiah.
