8 What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would declare the Gentiles to be righteous because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.” Galatians 3:8 NLT

Paul wrote this letter to the Galatians to remind them of God’s plan since the very beginning to save the world through faith in Jesus Christ and no longer the law. God had to start somewhere to clean up the mess that sin had made way back in the garden of Eden so he choose Abraham but not because he was the greatest candidate… Deuteronomy 7:7 says “The LORD did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations!” So beginning with the Jews God would eventually save the world (all nations) through faith in Jesus.

I am so thankful that God doesn’t favor anyone and that He loves the whole world. In His foreknowledge He knew that I would be born and would need His salvation and His plan worked to save my life. I must not take this lightly and live every day in obedience to His Word and will for me.

God, thanks for including me in Your plan to save the world. I am nobody but you considered me valuable in Your eyes enough to send Your son to die for me even though I don’t deserve it. Help me now to tell the rest of the world that the same is true for them.
