It's funny thinking about the circular logic in this passage. But it's true, how often in our lives do we point out something good that we have done so other can see it and then they tell others. Jesus is doing the same thing here only he's not talking about taking out the trash just to ensure that he gets his allowance. Jesus is talking about the eternal glory of salvation and sanctification.
