freedom through Christ
Christ gave us freedom so that we could be free and in our freedom we choose bondage. Why is it so difficult to accept god's love without feeling like we need to prove our worth by doing a bunch of works? We need to understand that we will never be worthy, lay down our pride, and accept the love of god for what it is: a free gift. Only once we do that will we be truly free to love him in return and then any "works" that we do will be motivated by love and passion rather than an attempt to feel our worth.
