What We were commanded to do

We were not commanded to sacrifice. We were commanded to be obedient to the Lord. Obedience is greater than sacrifice. Sacrifice comes from us being obedient, not the other way around. When we obey the Word of God we have our eyes opened to what His will is for our lives. This then leads us to sacrifice for God. Not out of withholding but out of recognizing that everything is God's.
