God speaks and we must listen

Jeremiah is told to get a sash and wear it around his waist. Then he is told to take the sash and hide it in a riverbed. A few days later he is told to retrieve the sash and finds that it is ruined.
God uses a series of words for Jeremiah to learn a single point. We must understand that when God tells us things we must see the big picture. It does not always happen instantly, but sometimes over a season of time.
