Receive anything BUT forgive first
Numbers 34 - 36, Mark 11
S: Mark 11:24, 25 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
O: This an amazing promise that we can pray for anything and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours...BUT you must forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against. Wow. Whatever I want can be mine...IF I can truly forgive those I have a grudge against? That is difficult. However, these verses show the importance of forgiveness. That forgiveness has power to unleash blessings from God.
A: I know I hold on to things that I feel people have done to me...how they have wronged me. Most times if not all the time, I just move on and choose not to think about it. But these verses come up and brings them right back in front of my face. First thought is to forgive so I can pray for "selfish" things...but it would also apply to things concerning justice, peace, and other such things. And my holding on to those things in light of that is just selfish.
P: Father. Help me to forgive. Help me to let go. Help me to find peace in you. Help me find my redemption in you. Help me Lord. Amen.
