A Subtle Slide Backwards [Part 2]

Hebrews 2:1 -Main scripture THREE CAUSES OF BACKSLIDING *if you no what causes backsliding you won't do it* 1. NO REAL DESIRE TO GET IT(spiritually) -you don't receive Jesus unless you want Jesus -God won't give something unless you really want it because you won't treat it right -well make excuses not to get it -all you have to do with God is show you really want it, His responsibly is to get it for you if it is of His will John 6:63 -Why do we spend so much time perfecting the flesh but not the spirit?? John 6:64-66 Luke 11:24-26 -Jesus cleans you up and if your not filled with the desire to get God it will feel with wickedness Luke 8:13 -you must have a passion for God 2. PEOPLE ARE STILL ATTACHED TO THE WORLD -bible says were in the world but not of it -sometimes Jesus comes into our life were saved & free but then we go back into the world -why?? Cause were still attached to the world 2 Chronicles 25:2 -you can do what's right in the eyes of the lord, still be attached to the world and the world will take you -because he did not have a loyal <3 then he us vulnerable to attack from the world 2 Chronicles 25:14 *shows how some of us are, we work for God but end up sliding back to the world 2 Timothy 4:10 -Don't go back to the world NOTW 3. ABSENCE OF SPIRITUAL LEADERS -they keep you on track because we have a tendency to go our own ways -you can worship the right God the wrong way but be in trouble with God -without a spiritual leader you will get off track with your walk with God Exodus 32:1-29 *The Golden Calf* -they worshipped the right God but in the wrong way
