Seven Important things about the new creation:

1. Man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body - 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Ephesians 4:11,12, 2 Corinthians 5:1, Luke 16:23

2. The spirit of an unsaved man is dead and desperately wicked - Jeremiah 17:9, Ephesians 2:1, Romans 1:18,21

3. The spirit of a saved man is righteous and truly holy - 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 4:24, 2 Corinthians 5:21

4. After you are born again, your spirit is a new born baby and it must grow - 1 Peter 2:2, Hebrews 5:13,14

5. After you are saved, your mind is still the same and it must be renewed - Romans 12:2

6. After you are saved, your body is still the same; you must keep it under control - 1 Corinthians 9:27, Romans 7:18, Galatians 5:19, Philippians 3:3, Ephesians 4:27

7. After you are born again, your mind is still open to all kinds of thoughts; you must learn to think on the right things - "You cannot stop a bird from flying over your head but you can certainly stop it from settling on your head" - Philippians 4:8, 2 Corinthians 10:5
