A love worth giving

LOVE! This is absolutely one of my favorite passages in the Bible. This is a very significant, important, and essential definition of love. Because God says He is love, when we read this God is saying this is who He is, this is who we NEED to become like! LOVE!

This is more than being in love with your spouse or girlfriend. This is a genuine true love amongst all peoples. In the begining of this chapter Paul says "if I prophesy or speak tongues or give or any of that stuff it means NOTHING without love." NOTHING WITHOUT LOVE! Are you kidding me that?! That is exactly how I should be thinking. All that I do have done or am going to do, it means absolutely nothing if I am not loving the Lord or others.

The characteristics of love have grown pretty significantly in me. I had to EXPERIENCE the love that God has for me for myself. I had to experience this love on His terms and I am so glad he allowed me too. He has changed my heart to be more like Him. When I look at these characteristics of love I think to myself where do I LACK these attributes. Whom am I not loving the way I should be.

This is an absolutely amazing amazing thought that blows my mind to oblivion. I can't find the right words to say on how this makes me feel. I need not expect and long for this kind of love experience from others, but be sure I am giving them this kind of love experience. For if I have everything BUT love then I am nothing. If I have everything BUT Jesus then I am nothing!

Heavenly Father,
Lord LOVE! God how you love me how you love me. You absolutely blow and amaze my mind. God let me experience this love today. Let it BURN in me and everyday let's do this. Let's fall in love more and more everyday. O God you are my God and I will ever praise you. WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! In Jesus' name I pray!
