Thankfulness Is a Sacrifice?
Far too often we forget to be thankful for the things that we have and instead we complain more about what we don't have. I had some friends who recently came back from Haiti and everyone I have ever talked to that came back from there has realized how good we have it here in America.
The challenge of this verse for me is to realize how thankful I need to be for the things that I have, so that being thankful doesn't feel like a sacrifice. Instead thankfulness becomes something that is so natural and normal that it just flows out of me.
