"failures"...
John 21:3 "... They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing." -How frustrating this must have been for these "seasoned fishermen"! But, it would seem that God had orchestrated this "failure" that these guys were now facing. I imagine that if the disciples had experienced a night of "bumper-crops", and their boat was filled with fish, that when Jesus showed up and told them to throw their nets in again, but on the right side this time, they may have been tempted to turn down the "advice" of the guy on the shore. Or, they may have done it, but when they'd started catching more fish, they may not have been as blown away, and therefore, may have never realized it was their Lord on the shore! -So, in like manner, God may allow His kids to experience frustration, or "failures" in order to make His "pre-planned" work to be highlighted that much more, and all the more evidently from Him, and NOT from us!! -Lord, frustrate my plans! Allow me to fail!! -that I may see, with absolute clarity, that the great works done, are done by You!! And that I would always "see" You where You are!!
