Influential Leadership

Jeroboam was an influential leader of Israel and is mentioned often in 2 Kings. Unfortunately his most notable accomplishment was being the first King to aggressively embrace idolatry. As a result, he became the standard for what it meant to do evil in the eyes of the Lord.

A leader who consistently influences people away from God will eventually achieve the goal of being removed from His presence.
