You Got Connections
There's a plot line that many books and movies are made from; that is, someone knows someone who can "get them inside" - and the story usually starts with finding and talking to this person.
That plot line has a lot of implication here. God the father has chosen to make Jesus, who took all our disgustedness on himself, to be the connection between us and him. As such, he becomes our "man on the inside" - being able to pass the word, get the info, or perform any action that is needed to keep us close to God.
I'm not sure if anyone else realizes this, but that is a big deal! I count him as my closest friend and mentor... and I'm so thankful he's taken on this "man on the inside" role for me.
