Heavenly Vision

I love Paul's statement in verse 19 that he was not "disobedient to the heavenly vision." It's easy to be faithful to the vision when we first get it or when we are on a spiritual high. It's a far greater challenge when that vision leads in directions that seem so difficult, painful or unfulfilling. Yet, here is Paul still obedient to the heavenly vision through all the persecution, ridicule and abuse; even now as he wraps up his fifth public defense against false charges! WOW - that's faithfulness to the vision! It reminds me that truly successful ministry is never "feelings-driven" but "vision-driven"! So how are you going to handle the times when you "feel" like giving up, quitting or throwing in the towel? It is here that you must be anchored to and driven by a heavenly vision!
