Glimpse of Deep Love
Regardless of my past regrets & past self-centered sin, my present lack of love for my self & others, and regardless of my future idiocy, God's love for me is deeper and better than I'll ever know. Jesus is giving a glimpse of the deep love right here because He wants us to begin to understand that God is worth trusting. He points to the taken-for-granted, out-casted, fend-for-yourself sparrow in order to show his followers God's unfailing love for his creation. If God takes care of these birds, then how much more better will he take care of his people who actually can and do show their appreciation & love back to God?! When I begin to see glimpses of this unmatched love of God for me, then my entire world changes!
