Plans - James 4

Do I make plans way beyond the scope of my control?
Are the concerns I have today foolish in the light of tomorrow? Our concerns today may mean nothing tomorrow.
But I still have to make plans. Failing to plan is planning to fail.

The real question is not do I plan or do I not plan, but how do I make plans when I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

When you're a Christ follower
Know your place. We must look at our selves with humility.
Know Gods place. If it's Gods will we should do it. We should not say If it's Gods will onto something we want to do. Gods plans are totally different than ours. His plan is that this world will know how amazing it is to live in a love relationship with him. That we love others so the world will come to Know gods love. When there is this conflict between my and Gods plans, whose plans win? We usually choose out plans over Gods. James says this is sin in 4:15. And we boast about it! We need to always check our plans against Gods plans.

The amazing thing is that God did not stay in his place. He chose to make his place with us.

Gods plans are not just good for him, they are good for you! When you really grab this and hold this it will change your plan.

So often we think it's an either or between my plan and Gods plan. This is not the case at all. When we make Gods plans our plans everyone wins.
